Palm Beach Gardens Fitness Entrepreneur Expanding to Boca Raton

A 26-year-old Palm Beach Gardens fitness entrepreneur is expanding her Core Evolution fitness studio brand to Boca Raton. The South County location is set to open at The Mark in East Boca on Feb. 15.

Marina Perrone, owner of Core Evolution, said her “low impact, high intensity” workouts are patterned after the Lagree Fitness method. The method, created by celebrity fitness trainer Sebastien Lagree, is designed to strengthen the body without the risk of injury.

“Low impact and high intensity are two things you don’t normally see together in a method,” said Perrone, owner of Core Evolution. “You’re going to be shaking, you’re going to be sweating and you’ll be feeling your muscle burn quickly. You are burning tons of calories, but all while being low impact and safe on the body.”

Workouts include slow and controlled movements that tone long, lean muscle, as opposed to bulking it.

“It’s the only method to incorporate the five attributes of physical fitness,” said Perrone. “The Lagree method is strength training, endurance, cardio, flexibility and stabilization. It’s got everything — not just in each class, but in each and every move.”

Men and women alike have attended sessions at the Palm Beach Gardens location, which opened two years ago; there are to more than 40 classes offered at the studio. Perrone said she decided to expand to Boca because her clients told her there was a need.

“We have a lot of clients that drive to our Palm Beach Gardens location from Boca, so there is already a demand for the method here,” said Perrone. “The Mark is a beautiful building and I feel like it represented our brand well. It just felt natural to be here.”

With the grand opening of the Boca location slated for this Monday, Perrone has already scheduled 36 classes for her new studio. Perrone said she wants the classes at The Mark at Cityscape, located at 9 Plaza Real South Suite 119, to have a personal feel, so she has limited the sessions to only 12 clients in each class.
